For anyone who doesn’t know how truly awful this piece of shit is:

The Case of Ian Watkins

After finding out what the password to his laptop was, I wanted to puke.

His password was "IFUCKKIDZ" spelled as indicated. That's the disturbing part, it's like internally, he was proud of it. No shame.

If you ever watched Chris Hansen's old To Catch A Predator series, or his new series, these guys usually find a way to delude themselves into thinking they're not the way they are, or that they're somehow helping the victim, and I can only assume they lie to themselves because they know what they are doing is wrong and feel some shame.

Not Ian Watkins. He was proud of it. Ugh. Later in the video, after the password, you find out he even bragged about it. I had to stop there, I couldn't even finish the video (linked by OP in comment).

Yeah the people on “to catch a predator” are disgusting, but there is a difference between “trying to seduce an underage girl into sex” and “raping a literal baby.” He’s on another level of being the worst version of a human being

Good. Now, with any luck, he'll heal up so he can go back to prison scared and live in fear of his next attack. And with any more luck, that will happen again, and again, and again, and again....

It sucks that I always really liked some of their music.

Shinobi Vs Dragon ninja was and is an absolute masterpiece. Sadly I don't want to listen to it any more as Ian has ruined any joy I could get out of listening to it since the news of his abhorrent dealings came out.

I was hoping to learn he died in agony, but was disappointed.

[–] stopthatgirl7@kbin.social 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, I’m sad he’s still wasting oxygen.

Idk, he dies and his suffering is over. This way, he can live scared every day just like the kids he abused

It's never too late. He's got to go back to prison, maybe another inmate will take the initiative.

Shit vocalist, too. The band was good despite him, rather than because of him.

[–] gmtom@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

I really hope he survives to do this again

Sadly he was trying to acquire a child from my home town and almost succeeded.
