Are you using protected cells? They will read zero volts if the protection circuitry cuts off the output. You need a charger that always outputs voltage to reset those. Those super cheap USB powered chargers work great for that. A bench power supply can also be used if you are careful.

MODERATORS
I keep a little wire next to the charger to tap the positive lead of the shutoff battery to the working battery right next to it in the charger. The chargers already connect the negatives so just a quick tap on the positive brings them back.
No the 30Q's are unprotected. I believe that's what the MF01S requires.
Even quality cells can be faulty. Is it still under warranty?
There are ways to revive dead cells, but you might not get the same lifespan out of it.
I guess I'll have to check. I honestly can't remember when I got it but it was probably over a year ago.
