I really wish all the people who decided to pretend that the pandemic is over would read this and finally understand what is at stake

Thank you for this. Not only for sufferers of long covid, but immunocompromised folks there are many practical considerations we should be making. If you've never known someone who has suffered from either, you're likely unfamiliar with how devastating it can be to someone's life and how much it restricts what these folks can do. Spreading knowledge like this is essential to making the world a more accessible place for them.

Good article.

My heart breaks for her. And she's such a good author, it's a pity that realistically she is not likely to have anything like the same output unless a cure is found for LC/PASC and/or ME/CFS.

That was crushing. "More than three years later, I still have long covid."

I'm on year two and was praying this ended with her getting her breath back. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

I used to work in construction, keep hoping the next week I'll be able to go back. Man that's disheartening.

Some people get better, some people get worse. Some get better but then get infected again and relapse. This is some tough shit. My long covid is relatively mild, compared to what others have. I am on year 1, after getting omicron. I hope they find a cure, I hope people stop pretending this is over and no more people get infected and die. I wish the pandemic would end. One can dream, right?
