I know it's nearly impossible to pick a favorite Futurama episode, but if you held a ray gun to my head and I HAD to choose it would be Parasites Lost. When I saw "Parasites Regained" in the episode title list for season 11 the hype for new Futurama finally hit me!

So which episode are you most anticipating? Wild speculation about the episodes welcome.

Edited: to add a shameless plug for the Community I just created for another great Groening show, Disenchantment. If you're a fan of Bean and the gang come on over to /c/Disenchantment!

rage against the vaccine sounds like it could be fun and trigger some idiots :D

I'll be interested to see how it stacks up to South Park's episodes.

If they make it into some sort of time travelling crossover episode I will probably lose my mind!

I'm imagining Fry refusing a vaccine for egg salad sandwich parasite infections et violà, Parasites Regained.

In that case I would side with Fry. Fry with worms was awesome.

Parasites regained for sure. Parasites lost is one of my favorite episodes! I'm hoping how the west was won is another "where the bugallo roam" type. Lol

Oh, that's a good point. I love all the Mars-related episodes, especially with Amy's family and the native Martians. Hopefully How the West Was Won gives us some good new Martian content!

I want to see what those worms have been up to! I don't know about favorite episode, but Parasites Lost has always been up there for me.

Listen, you! I was born here. I raised a cloud of children here. My ancestors came over here on the sandwich!

Maybe fry eats that burger with special sauce. 🤣 🤣

Children of a Lesser Bog for me. I want to see Kif and Amy's kids and how that all plays out.

Their tadpoles are low key kinda adorable, ngl.

Not gonna lie, even though I love futurama to death, this episode list is worrying me - seems like they are focusing too much on (soon to be, if not already) dated pop culture trends.

Same. The “topical” episodes are rarely great, and they’re often among my least favorite. Who looks forward to Decision 3012, Proposition Infinity, or Attack of the Killer App coming up in their playlist? I generally skip those. There are some good ones, like A Clockwork Origin, but they seem to be the exception. Those episodes also tend not to age well (Attack of the Killer App being the worst offender here in my opinion), and, as you said, several of these themes have been old news for several years now. I’m definitely looking forward to the second half of the season more than the first.

Ugh, I had Attack of the Killer App completely wiped from my memory until you mentioned it. Such a bad episode. Now I’m left hoping they don’t completely Simpsonize Futurama.

The Impossible Stream is definitely catching my attention, just because I'm a huge Don Quixote fan

When's the premiere anyway?

Toss up between Zapp gets canceled and children of a lesser bog.

I'm curious if they will have anything related to the next generation of planet express crew or skip it since it's only 1 season.

I’ve always loved fry’s worms . It should be fun to see what’s happens to them!

[–] Zathras@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

I think for me, it is whichever is the first episode. IMO it really sets the tone of the season. After that, I would say Zapp gets Cancelled, because a majority of the episodes with him as a major player are pretty darn funny.

I'm a bit confused. The new season is 8, but people keep referring to it as 11. Even news articles will put 11 in the title, but will refer to it as 8 in the body of the article. Is this some kind of in-joke I missed? There definitely aren't seasons 9 or 10...
