I would assume companies like this store any data you give the. What's going to stop them?

Exactly, I work on mostly Microsoft cloud platforms and I've never heard of anybody using bing chats, hardly anybody even uses bing at all, I run edge chromium and DuckDuckGo on my work computers, who even uses Bing?

I don’t use Bing search (who would?). But Bing chat is honestly really good

Which is why (iirc) DuckDuckGo uses bing as the actual search engine.

Edit: misread your comment, thought it said bing (as in the search) is honestly really good

Which imo it is, once you strip out all the other bullshit like DuckDuckGo does

Yeah, I actually use DDG if I ever need a search engine. I love the !bang feature so much

What the hell is a 'Bing Chat'?

[–] waratchess@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago

I think it's the ai chat

[–] ArbiterXero@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

All 5 people who use Bing chat are having their chats stored?

[–] WiseMoth@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Bing chat is actually really good. Way better than Bard. It’s legit just ChatGPT with web access

[–] ech0@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Yea fr. Everyone in here sounding like Boomers. Bing Chat is amazing. I use it to fix code all the time.

[–] original_reader@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Jup. I use it a lot as well. Definitely works very well.

It’s legit just ChatGPT because it’s just ChatGPT. Microsoft is investing heavily in OpenAI

[–] WiseMoth@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yes, I know. That’s what I said. Legit means legitimately

I’m just going to post my entire Bing Chat history here, to get ahead of it:
