And we think we can all agree this is not great. Biden has said that he will pursue "emergency authority to shut down the border" until it can get back "under control." As war funding is bundled up in the immigration negotiations, Biden's been eager to pursue a deal that unlocks this money while also allowing him to get "tough" on the border by restricting crossings and gutting asylum. This cynical negotiation, using immigrant communities as bargaining chips, is both a moral and electoral failure.

Every president is Trump. Trump is the fucking face America always had. People who say Biden is better just don't want to look into the mirror.
