Where can I report this for drug promotion?
Our society will crumble once this gets on mobile.
What, is the game really that good?
Card games have never appealed to me personally
It's not a normal card game.
As someone who doesn't care for card games or poker: yes, it's really that good!
Plays pretty well with steam link, but yeah, I’ll be in line for the mobile version as well.
Check out Slice & Dice if you need a new drug. I still think Balaltro is ultimately better
It's harder than Drugs. Only powerful person can handle this.
I try to get out but you drag me back in
I feel like I play a good amount of rouge likes -- The best ones I finish one time, but Balaltro and Slice & Dice I have finished like 7 times each. Such great games.
Slice & Dice is also one of my favorite. I am also playing Maniac lately
You finished the full version of Slice and Dice? All modes, all difficulties? There's so so so many :/
7 times meaning 7 of the models/difficulties
I will create FAQ soon BTW
Good luck!
Thanks (I remember you)
Me too ha ha
I like rogue likes and deckbuilders, but don't know anything about traditional card games. should I get it?
Edit: nevermind, I bought it. It's amazing 🤩
I fucking hate the new updates, lol. Gold chip is brutal with temporary and rent cards.
Yeah the rates of new stickers should be a bit less but it's way better than what it used to be, at least you're not losing on ante 2 constantly due to bad rng
Fun game!
Been addicted as shit to this for like a week
I've been thinking about a Balatro community for a few weeks now, but life has been too crazy for me to create it. I'm really excited about this! If you're looking for mods, please let me know. I'd be interested in helping out!
Yeah, I am looking for mods
Is this like Slay the Spire? I had a lot of fun with that rogue like deckbuilder for awhile.
Not really. It's constant sudden-death; your run ends the moment you can't beat an enemy in X turns. The turn limit is your health that resets per conflict. I greatly disliked this aspect of it.
It's best described as Yahtzee with poker hands using a mutated deck that could have missing cards, duplicate cards, insane multipliers, etc.
To add on to what the_gmg said, there's a free demo of it on Steam that will give you a feel for it.
Yes, but poker themed. 'Combat' is a round of poker themed solitaire with a point target. This is followed by an opportunity to spend money to upgrade your deck with fancy cards or modifiers. The point targets are constantly increasing, so you need to keep upgrading to complete a run.
If you like Slay the Spire, I would definitely give Balatro a shot.
New Communities

Rules
The rules for behavior are a straight carry over of Mastodon.World's rules. You can click the link but we've reposted them here in brief, as a guideline. We will continue to use the Mastodon.World rules as the master list. Over all, be nice to each other and remember this isn't a community built around debate. For the rules about formatting your posts, scroll down to number 2.
1. Follow the rules of Mastodon.world, which can be found here.
A. Provide an inclusive and supportive environment. This means if it isn't rulebreaking and we can't be supportive to them then we probably shouldn't engage.
B. No illegal content.
C. Use content warnings where appropriate. This means mark your submissions NSFW if need be.
D. No uncivil behavior. This includes, but is not limited to: Name Calling; Bullying; Trolling; Disruptive Commenting; or Personal Criticisms.
E. No Harrassment. As an example in relation to Transgender people this includes, deadnaming, misgendering, and promotion of conversion therapy. Similarly Misogyny, Misandry, and Racism are also banned here.
2. Include a community title and description in your post title. - A following example of this would be New Communities - A place to post new communities all over Lemmy for discovery and promotion.
3. Follow the formatting. - The formatting as included below is important for people getting universal links across Lemmy as easily as possible.
Formatting
Please include this following format in your post:
[link text](/c/community@instance.com)
This provides a link that should work across instances, but in some cases it won't
You should also include either:
or instance.com/c/community
FAQ:
Q: Why do I get a 404?
A: At least one user in an instance needs to search for a community before it gets fetched. Searching for the community will bring it into the instance and it will fetch a few of the most recent posts without comments. If a user is subscribed to a community, then all of the future posts and interactions are now in-sync.
Q: When I try to create a post, the circle just spins forever. Why is that?
A: This is a current known issue with large communities. Sometimes it does get posted, but just continues spinning, but sometimes it doesn't get posted and continues spinning. If it doesn't actually get posted, the best thing to do is try later. However, only some people seem to be having this problem at the moment.
