Skyrim VR update.

I gave it a few days and came back to try again. Fresh install of everything, .deb version of Steam, SteamVR set to the previous version, Mod Organizer 2 installed the first time without a problem, and the base game running without issues. Dunno what's up with the most recent version of SteamVR but it appears to have broken Valve Index controller emulation, which is why I'm using the previous. Dunno what's up with the flatpack version of Steam but running the previous version of SteamVR on it made it extremely unstable despite that same version working fine a couple of weeks ago. Now I gotta download mods again - this particular step has never been the culprit for breaking everything, but you never know!

the past few months I've been thinking of getting a new phone because the max brightness isn't high enough, but today I realized the whole time I had "reduce white point" enabled (setting that lowers overall brightness), likely for several months, without knowing

So this dog followed me home on a walk and I couldn't get her to go home

She's very sweet and chill but obviously belongs with someone else cuz she has a collar (but no tag aaaaaa) and is very clean and smells like shampoo

Gonna go back tomorrow and try to find her human companions cuz I really can barely take care of myself, let alone an animal, also 2nd paragraph

The armor in CP2077 is weirding me out. It's not 80s retro, it doesn't look like 20th century webgear. It's not contemporary sci-fi tactical armor, the kind of slick surfaces real-robot look that Blomkamp brought in to the forefront of cinema. What it really looks like, more than anything, is cheap air-soft gear from the early GWOT. Like there's no cool GitS, Appleseed, Captain Power, any armor that hits that stylish 80s Manga thing, nor is there any of the hypermodern, real robot, slick helmets with no visors stuff for V to wear. As near as I can tell there's just these aramid vests that look like crappy 90s flak vests. And all the tactical gear is weirdly out of place. Like again, it's not 80s webgear, but it's not modern webgear either. Everything is heavy stitched nylon, velcro, web straps. there's none of the slick face, laser cut, positive retention gear you see in high end modern tactical kit, or any attempt at doing a futuristic version of that. It's super weird. It's all archaic, but not archaic enough to be stylish so it just looks, idk, dorky.
