I am starting to shave most of my body, but I have an issue, and that issue is a safety razor. It works well for my face, albeit with some irritation. The blades also dull pretty fast, as I have really coarse hair, and this issue only gets worse if I'm trying to shave my legs. It also takes quite a long time to get everything with a safety razor, in addition to it being irritating and also failing at it's one job. I appreciate any recommendation and/or reply, thanks in advance y'all!

Also search engines suck, everything is SEO and affiliate links, I promise I wouldn't be bugging y'all otherwise ;)

I think WAHL is the best. When I was in rehab one of the guys had a pair of professional wahl clippers and they did a really good job, pricey though.

WAHL is a good answer. They are a bit on the pricier side, but a lot of professionals use them.

I’ve used the same Wahl clippers for well over five years now. It works for all hair on my body, although it got the most use as a beard trimmer.

My dad still has a mini Wahl trimmer that is like 35+ years old. I used it over Christmas to trim my beard. It's corded so not quite as convenient as a modern cordless but it's still chugging along.

I got a corded one because batteries die and companies love to change battery types or just make it not repairable. But, it’s a bit less convenient to wrangle a cord.

I might have to give it a shot, it could be worth the higher price tag, as long as it would last a long time.

I never had good luck with an electric razor, but a standard 5 blade replaceable razor head has been effective for me because it contours to my legs better. You still need to replace the blades every other week or so depending on how often you shave though so it can be a bit expensive.

I have moderately thick and curly hair and I used to get horrible irritation and ingrown hairs on my thighs after shaving. The most life-changing thing for me in terms of relieving this was to pick up a glycolic acid chemical exfoliator. I use it once a night before bed and I get almost no irritation or ingrowns any more. This was the brand that came highly recommended. If you're NA you can pick it up at any ULTA for like $10.

Wahl Deluxe Aqua Blade. This model and the brand were the most recommended aside from Phillips (although I have a feeling people were shilling Phillips) when I searched for razors a while back. I got it barely used for about $30, cleaned it up with some alcohol. Haven’t had to charge it yet.

Philips Oneblade works really well for me on my whole body, and it's really not a hassle to use. I use it directly on dry skin and I get pretty smooth. I can use it on my face too, but it is a little harsh so I prefer a foil shaver on my face.

Charge lasts a while, you can use it in the shower although it's annoying to use on wet skin/hair. Replacement blades are not obscenely expensive, they last at least a month before I switch them.

I've been using the same one for years, only had to replace the blades.

I'm not home but when I get home in a few days I'll look at what I got. It's one if those multi attachment trimmers and one of the attachments is a body groomer that is very safe to use in sensitive places. I'd go for something like that.

If you want long lasting smoothness you don't want an eletric razor, you want an epilator. There's a learning curve and it is unconfortable ae first tho
