after watching "3 body problem" blatant anti-china propaganda where Chinese scientist defect to the west out of hatred of China it is refreshing to see that the reverse happens in reality.

I can't imagine how a Chinese person could travel around the US outside of the few cities tailored for immigrants and come out with a good impression. Sheer reactionary stupidity everyplace you turn.

I'm glad I saw this comment, I had that on my "things I should check out" list but now I know I can skip it.

Just read the books. If you prefer watching something, there is already the Tencent adaptation that is pretty good. I prefer the books still though.

There is no [good] reason for that Netflix adaptation.

If anyone watching that decides to check out the books or the Tencent version then it's a win.

Everything the Netflix show does to reinforce inherent Sinophobia is just a drop in the bucket compared to what Westerners get in their daily diet already. If libs choose between 100 different kinds of garbage when they watch Netflix I'd prefer them watching the kind that will see some of them picking up a Liu Cixin book.

I’m not Chinese but would China be willing to adopt me too?

What is the US without the foreign talent that it attracts?

I say this as someone who has worked in the US for 10 years from startups to Fortune 200 companies. Everywhere I went a significant number of coworkers were immigrants.
