Looking for a matching set (brand/aesthetic wise) of a mechanical keyboard and mouse for gaming that:

  • Isn't super tacky or coated in branding

  • Has a detachable usb c cable (sick of mini-usb and I will never be okay with a fixed cable on a keyboard)

  • Has build quality that's actually halfway decent

  • Isn't ludicrously expensive

  • Is compatible with something like Artemis RGB or Aurora RGB for aRGB game integration (my little crow brain likes when the blinky gamer lights change colors when I reload and stuff in games)

I don't know if I'm just bad at researching this sort of thing but it really seems like all the options out there only meet one or two of these requirements at best. Is this just the state of the market when it comes to these things? Do I need to build a custom keyboard?

I have a thread I asked this on a few months ago there were some recommendations. Link below. I still haven't gotten around to making a decision yet ๐Ÿ˜•

Not sure about the RGB integration, but you should take a kook at keychron keyboards. They have good build quality and a wide range of layouts and prices. They are above the quality of most gaming brands and don't have to cost a fortune.

They also have mice, but any black mouse should work for you.

I have an inexpensive Durgod keyboard that I like quite a lot. I'm not an RGB person, but I think they make models with shiny lights. They also make mice now apparently

Edit:

Do I need to build a custom keyboard?

I'm pretty sure this isn't necessary and is a bad idea if you're trying not to spend a lot of money on it.
