Can't comment, select language (lemmy.oldtr.uk)

I have a language set in my profile, but it's rejecting comments saying to select a language in my profile. Has anyone encountered that or been able to fix it?

I sometimes get this as well. Would be great to know how to fix it since there seems to be no way to set languages in Wefwef.

Did you deselect "undetermined?" You need that one selected.

lemmy-ui said that I wouldn't be able to see a lot of things if I had undetermined selected, so I had it at English. Will see if it clears up now.

You read it wrong. It says to not deselect it or things will stop appearing. As someone else pointed out elsewhere, most things a user can do don't have language tags, so you need the undetermined language to see it all.

I went to the web interface and changed it there. That seemed to do the trick.
