It’s big in San Diego, where it originated.

Fries topped with carne asada (marinated, thin, chargrilled steak), cotija cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo (optional), shredded Mexican blend cheese, and vinegar-based hot sauce (added by eater at time of eating so not to make soggy). Also best to keep the sour cream separate from the guacamole to not get soggy.

Solid late night drunken meal. I went through a good run of the drinks/fries combo when first moved here.

I like them with Mexican crema instead of sour cream, but either way they're fucking delicious!

Wrap it in in a tortilla with some salsa for a California Burrito!

Wow Aleen@@, this looks fantastic! You should Google "Kapsalon" or "Patat Kapsalon" to see another take on this dish, maybe some inspiration!!

Nacho Fries, or Totchos are amazing.

[–] Aleenaa@india.goonj.xyz 1 points 3 months ago

Looks good! What does it include?

[–] CM400@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I think you would like Texas Fries, which are potatoes, jalapeΓ±os, and onion (2:1:1) all fried together and salted. So delicious.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

I like to add bacon and a drizzle of queso. That stuff is tasty!
