This was posted here a few days ago and the reigning sentiment was how incredibly sad it is that there was nobody to notice this woman didn't come home for four days, let alone the fact that none of her co-workers cared enough about her to check up on her

Yeah its genuinely depressing. I forget how alienated we are sometimes and then shit like this breaks down my door and shoots me

This will be used to justify open floor offices without cubicles

They already tried the open office concept on a very wide scale and the fact that it's harmful to productivity means they're probably not going to bring it back

It's very disruptive. People hate when I'm in the office cause everyone hears me on thier calls all day. Sorry they took away the walls.

If lost productivity was all it took for them to ban something, they'd ban working in person and the worker in the article would still be alive

I hate how correct this sounds. Something something crisis, no wastage

Someone at my wife’s old company had a heart attack in his office last month, people heard him dying and all they did was run and grab the boss. The company still hasn’t brought in a grief counselor or given anyone time off to process. Needless to say she quit that job.

The world is a very sad place.
