The entire Dinosaur Jr. discography! I'd describe them as lo-fi Gen X indie slacker rock with catchy poppy melodies and imaginative guitar hero solos. They've got hardcore roots, so you get some of that with their earlier albums. Great lyrics, never too cliché. One of the few bands I've listened to that's still churning out consistently good albums while maintaining pretty much the same sound through the years.
The Final Cut by Coheed and Cambria. This live performance is top notch https://youtu.be/yAdfQWMttgk
The Hands that Take You by Radiation City. Favorite track is The Color of Industry.
I've also been listening to Darkness' Blood Flavored Coffee. Can't spell out my favorite track on my keyboard, but I think it translates to Anxiety Reigns
I've been having a lot of fun listening to mashups for a while. Here's a pretty cool one from about a month ago:
I found out about Ana Tijoux, a Chilean artist. She sings in Spanish, but she's very political/anti-capitalist/feminist. She's been fun to listen to. Some songs I heard first were 1977, Niñx, and The Anti-Fascist Dance.
