In assume the rest of the houses on the block give out fried onions, sour cream, kielbasa, beets and beer.

Come to Cleveland baby! We got all. The polish food you want

[–] Assman@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

And hardly any factory fire deaths

Doesnt your river catch fire on the reg tho? I mean, that might not be a dealbreaker when it comes to Polish food, but I gotta run it by my husband first.

Last time was in 1969, so it's been a while. It was a pretty minor fire compared to previous ones but got national attention and partially led to the creation of the US EPA and Earth Day.

The way those pierogi's are cooked is the best way. Drizzled with olive oil and baked until one side gets that nice golden brown.

So much better than boiled.

I fry β€˜em in a pan with some butter and they end up looking the same. Always delicious.

I feel the same about any dumpling. It's so much better with some crunchiness than just being a somewhat slimy, soft, chewy thing even if the flavor still slaps either way.

Everyone in this thread is a beautiful person who knows a good pierogi.

I'll dress up as that guy that invaded Poland in 1939

The history books won't tell you that pierogies were the reason for WWII.

[–] hakunawazo@lemmy.world 7 points 4 weeks ago

Rocco Siffredi? Oh... you mean that other guy.

[–] AFC1886VCC@reddthat.com 3 points 4 weeks ago

[–] Mango@lemmy.world 9 points 4 weeks ago

Yeah no. I'm taking that bucket. I'll even leave my candy.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 7 points 4 weeks ago

Oh I would fail at this
