Where did you first play it and get turned on to the OST in the first place, Sega?

[โ€“] Sanctus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Oh Sonic? I played that for the first time on the Sega Saturn, and so on and so forth until about 5 years ago when I moved completely to PC only. I've been a Sonic The Hedgehog enjoyer since birth.

I like the Rock of Ages 2&3 soundtracks myself. Classic music transformed into video game ost is fun.

Here's a phenomenal soundtrack to a 2009 Half-Life 2 total conversion mod called Neotokyo by Ed Harrison. It is amazing.

I've consistently enjoyed and come back to the following for years:

  • "Make it Sweet" by Milkcan (Um Jammer Lammy soundtrack), 35 mins
  • Forgotten Worlds arcade OST by Kawamoto Tamayo, ~45 mins

I also like to boot up and listen to the Amiga title music for SWIV and the Mega Drive/Genesis soundtrack of Revenge of Shinobi.

The soundtrack to Boyfriend Dungeon is OUTSTANDING, I will never stop listening to it.

Dark Cloud. A bit of a cult classic, a PS2 launch title that seems like it was supposed to be Sony's answer to the Zelda franchise but never managed to take off. Still a great game with a banger soundtrack.

Age of Mythology, recently remastered & rereleased. See also !aom@lemm.ee
