Why are dnd cellars always twice the size of the house AND inevitably connected to a cave

It's called DUNGEONS and Dragons.
With so few dragons you fucking bet we're gonna commit to the dungeons.
More relaxed building codes
Yours IRL isn't? 🤔
Bit of a boring campaign if all cellars were tiny and just full of wine and tools.
How do the plants stay green without sunlight?
Listen here you little shit
magic.
A wizard did it.
So, this is what baffles me. You use it for one encounter. And it is an absolute blast, coz I mean look at it.
But what do you do with these after that encounter?
I take it apart and use the pieces in my next build.
Would you mind showing the separate pieces once you're done with the session?
I have a bunch of unused pieces I can use to show you: https://imgur.com/gallery/wDrEBgs
Let me know if you have any other questions.
How does this work in game if theres a secret door to the cave or somesuch?
Do the players make for it straight away or do you hide that part of the model?
I build individual rooms and add them once a door or secret door is opened.
Meanwhile I can’t force myself to do any prep work at all. Im envious!
Where are the models from? They look like DnD legos.
Most of the models came from thingiverse. Some are purchased through Patreon or myminifactory.
They are kind of like legos… they connect with a special clip.
Do you have a link to the STL files? I’ve actually been looking for a set similar to this to compliment my warlock tiles.
I have been printing things for years now. So I don’t remember where everything came from.
Most of the stone walls and floors are DungeonWorks https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2648044 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2666441 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2666449 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2653957 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2647892 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2649665
I couldn’t find all of the scatter. Here are a few things: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3363472 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2756607 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3691633 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1477280
Giant mushrooms are from Vae Victis: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-giant-mushrooms-supportless-194978
I have no idea where I got the cave walls.
Anything works for me! Thanks homie
You modelled it too?
I did not make any of the models here… only printed them.
The painting is really great and detailed though
My god! I thought it was some AR screenshot or something. Well.. I'm astonished, amazed and left speechless.
The details look amazing! Really nice set up.
