Whoever wrote this has zero understanding of productivity. It's not just about maximizing the number of minutes. Employees that are happy and valued will give you great results. Employees who are fearful and undervalued will give you poor results.

I mean Jesus, heaven forbid you need to use the toilet during the day.

In fact, I reckon there’s an argument here that this sign is discriminatory. It certainly wasn’t written by someone who’s ever experienced an IBD flare up that’s for sure.

Just make sure to clock out first while you're shitting your pants and you won't be fired. Also, you have to stay 15 minutes longer to make up for the time wasted by clocking out and in during a shift. Easy!

Guess I'm a serial time fraud committer ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I would clock in, then stop and read this whole page every single day. If questioned, I would tell them that I want to make sure I’m not doing anything on the list that would be timeclock fraud.

On an 8 hour shift the corporate overlords need to understand they should be getting 5.5 to 6 hours max of productivity. They already put lunch outside of productive hours by adding 30mins to an hour time to our life 15 min breaks, down time and moments of decompression and stretching. Should all be on the clock. CEOs and c suite employees get paid lunch tons of meeting times and fucking so many benefits like puppy hour, luncheons, massages, etc where the workers are expected to have 95% productivity push

"Time fraud" sounds like a bs crime in a sci-fi dystopia.

I'd read that book.

Basically, stop living when you're working for us.

By the way, studies have shown things like this decrease overall productivity because get this, humans aren't single-tasking robots. So even in a capitalist environment it's counterproductive.

File this in the shredder.

[-] elbowdrop@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Well then it looks like someone should tape up a flyer about corporate time theft and the, idk off the top of my head, millions stolen from workers. Take a picture and when it's taken down file a complaint with everyone you can. Congressman, mayor, every elected official. Have everyone do this and change might happen. Things happen when you are persistent, slightly annoying, and nice.

"50 hours of payroll lost"

only for the boss, labour laws demand the boss pays the employee for all of their time while punched in, regardless of if they did any work. This really just reads to me as a fed-up bourgie pig complaining that his workers don't want to be drones while they're on the clock. If I worked there, I'd quit the moment I saw that.

I've seen this image before and the concept is quite ludicrous to me, people ought to be more angered by this kind of thing! They strip your value from you, and then have the audacity to demand that you work every second of the time you don't even make your pay for with absolute effort.

[-] 0485919158191@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

What the heck? Whoever works here need to quit, right now. What a piss poor place.

[-] cryptosporidium140@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I see this and immediately take an extra long shit

[-] 4am@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Fuck that, they should be paying for my commute time too, which I would not be doing were it not for their requirements on when to be in the office.

(Fortunately I work remotely for a company that is very relaxed about enforcement, but I’ve been in environments like this before and let me just say that these are the same people who say “quiet quitting is STEALING”)
