I went to the Ajax stadium to see if there was a demonstration against the Israeli club but I didn't see anything so I went home. But apparently there was a pro-Palestina demonstration near the football stadium on a nearby square, which I only came to know on my way back home. It was apparently announced a day before. I really should stay in touch more.

Imo, i believe it is indeed embedded in Chinese cultural and traditional beliefs which transfers to a modern day society. I do not believe it is upheld or foundational within the modern Chinese practice of socialism - it very much depends on education and educational levels of that particular area. I do believe it will get better with time, as there often is a disruption between the perspectives of the young and old generations.

Is there any actual reason to believe Trump would drastically change the Ukraine war like libs are saying? No way the ruling class of the US will let him fuck up this situation.
I can't see him accepting Russian terms politically. He's floated the idea of a freeze and delaying NATO membership, but Russia already categorically stated that they won't go for that. However, I think what he'll do is cut funding, and that will force Ukraine to surrender sooner.
I have heard this fear expressed too that Trump would somehow bail on project Ukraine and NATO as a whole but I recall him also having similar bluster in 2016 and we know how that turned out. I haven't seen any serious evidence to prove it and I personally cannot foresee a situation where he unilaterally just pulls out as a vanity project given what is at stake, and who the stakeholders are. If there was a case to be made I'd be open to hearing it tho, I am not an expert. I think it's just dems slinging mud

Probably tuned on a lot of the same kind of slop that models like ChatGPT get tuned on. They (meaning companies, generally, I don't know specifically what tencent says about it) make it out like it's about "safety and ethics," but in practice, it amounts to corporate sanitizing to reduce as much as possible the chances of a model saying something that could reflect badly on the company who made it. It may not even be that there is any tuning specific to Palestine, other than "this is a nuanced and complicated issue" generic slop that covers politics more generally.
I may have underestimated how shitty it is on this. Did some playing around and it got all high and mighty about me describing Israel as doing a genocide, saying there isn't evidence for one and blah blah blah. Mind you, LLMs can get up to all kinds of bullshit (what some term "hallucination") and take one position one time and another at another time. It's not as though this means it is deterministically tuned to take the stance it did. It also said something to me about China's position earlier in the test convo, which seemed to more or less match what I've heard about China's stance on Palestine. But it really wasn't happy with throwing around the word genocide. Anyway, I still stand by the general point of these corps tuning models to try to act neutral, so as not to be controversial. Even though they definitely aren't because everything has bias. I could really get into a rant about how unethical it is to present a model as striving to be neutral when it obviously can never be.
Today is the US presidential election. And everybody online and offline is in the most annoying state of hysteria imaginable.
