This is your favourite extra fabulous comic?!?

OP answer please??

Yes, my number one fav lol

It's just so perfect. Dude is thrilled to the point of ecstasy to have two buttholes, and the panic in his face when he suddenly has no buttholes is worth a thousand words. I also love that God shows up in person to play this trick, seemingly just to be sure the guy knows who's responsible. And what a dick move on top of that- like giving a kid some candy and then, not only taking it back, but also farting directly in their face after. I only hope he deserved it

i LOVE extra fabulous comics because they're the only ones who can make casual homophobia funny.

EDIT: i just realized that this can sound snarky; but i genuinely mean it: extra fabulous comics has a track record of being an ally while simultaneously being wildly funny.

if it's true that "only nixon can go to china"; then extra fabulous comics can make casual homophobia funny. lol

We're actually wrong for finding this kind of humour funny :( davel said so

to be fair: we're LITERALLY laughing at casual homophobia and someone who is unfamiliar with extra fabulous comics ally-ship could only possibly see distasteful humor without this context.

i think that it's a bit like the recent gen z torch-and-pitchfork response to "shirley q liquor". like rupaul suggested: they're an ally and their shit is genuinely funny and that helps us heal by laughing at some of our biggest pervasive problems/divisions as a community; i think that something like that this is going to matter A LOT in the near future since everyone else is hellbent on lol-ing at all the leopards-at-my-face-ees. trump's leopards are going to eat all of our faces if we don't start helping each other instead of pointing and laughing with the schadenfreude strategy of mass coping from the election results.

also: most leftists have varying degrees of ignorance of popular culture imo and the genz'ers of tiktok were recently likewise similarly ignorant of gay popular culture from the 1990's and tried to torch-and-pitchfork shirley-q for what they perceived as distasteful humor until rupaul weighed in on the discourse and i think that we're having a mini-version of that here.

As someone unfamiliar my first impression was that this guy really enjoys taking dumps, not that he wants to get fucked in two assholes at once...

your mind isn't far enough in the gutter; i don't think we can be friends. lol

This is important context, and you make excellent points

It honestly completely slipped my mind that God has an issue with guys putting dicks in their butts, and I assumed you must be referring to a comic I hadn't seen/couldn't remember. Is that the intended joke in this comic??

Regardless, I doubt Dave cares about that aspect- I think Dave just doesn't like jokes about butts poops and farts.

Edit: (just to be clear, I am queer and not religious)

same here.

butts, poop, and farts jokes is literally THE DEFINITION of im-14-and-this-is-funny, isn't it? lol

[–] TherapyGary@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I feel like that's more so <10yo kind of humour, but I doubt a kid that age would even understand this comic

[–] eldavi@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

i agree: i got a dm from my gen alpha niece the other day asking me to explain why giving tia julia's friend money isn't going to help them get into the country before trump takes over and to reaffirm that i'm still going to help like i promised her i would, but not in the way that they asked me to.

i think that it depends on the person's circumstances and that the material conditions effect the way people act in relation to society.

i also think that societal progress also includes faster maturity and this is another mini-version manifested here with my 9 year old grand-niece. (assuming grand-niece is a thing a thing in english).

Edit: I actually can't think of a single 12-16yo who would find this funny, and I work in schools a lot

my gen-z and gen-alpha nephews and nieces also don't find it funny anymore either and it makes me happy to recognize that we've progressed as a society from teenagers saying things like "that's gay" (as in "bad") as an insult in the 1990's to now laughing WITH us instead; instead of AT us, when something is genuinely funny.

Oh cool I didn't know he made an updated version! The one I posted has been saved in my gallery for a long time lol

Edit: comparing them, I feel like I like the unpolished vibe more on this one

Another version, in case you'd like this version more
