I suppose this is an improvement from the old days when they'd just gun him down on the Vegas Strip.

Lmfao he made his loss an official court document

[–] SpruceBringsteen@lemmy.world 7 points 6 hours ago

own star witness

If I've learned anything from the interweb it's that having a big, public hissy-fit about something definitely makes everyone stop talking about it.

Just ask Barbara Streisand

My biggest question about all of this is the timing.
Drake really waited for the hysteria to die down, and then right as Kendrick releases a new album he does it?

Is like he's trying to ensure people don't forget the beef lmao

[–] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I mean you can find interesting things people are trying to hide done during holiday weeks. Their hoping it'll slip through unnoticed or at least quickly forgetten.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Or it's all a marketing ploy that they're in on together.

[–] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 1 points 17 minutes ago

Oh of course. That's always a possibility!

Isn't drake a pedophile? Last I heard was a big commotion because he had abused underage teenagers or something.

And now everyone seems to be back to liking him? I can't keep up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uAHOsECDS0 This was YEARS ago

I don't think there have been any major public allegations other than Not Like Us which is mainly leaning on the issues of a grown man hanging around young teenage girls... WHICH... if we are being fair is not a great look even when everything is above board.

[–] JokeDeity@lemm.ee 22 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Being a pedo is fine if you're rich. Just look at Trump and everyone connected to him.

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 1 points 34 minutes ago

Or indeed how long P Diddy and R Kelly kept it up.

[–] 5in1k@lemm.ee 7 points 7 hours ago

I disliked him before and after. Drake is such an obvious buster ass bitch boy on top of the kid fucking.

[–] FryHyde@lemmy.zip 15 points 12 hours ago

I don't remember if there were specific allegations, but everyone noticed him being real interested in Millie Bobby Brown in a creepy-ass way.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 98 points 23 hours ago (11 children)

This is great - I have absolutely no idea what’s going on.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 88 points 23 hours ago

Drake is suing Kendrick and a label (UMG) that he's worked with is friends with a board member, and parties with his kid...

Not because of all the accusations in the songs.

But because he can't believe the song was really that popular and he's saying they pumped it's numbers just to hurt Drake personally.

Pretty sure the song went back in the top 20, maybe top 10.

Despite Kendrick just dropped an entire album, but this made people pause that and go back to Not Like Us.

This is about to be more embarrassing than Scott's Tots.

He can't go to law school because he doesn't have a bachelor's degree which is a prerequisite. Say what you will about Kim K but she isn't stupid, she just doesn't have common sense.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 0 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

You can go to law school without a bachelor's degree.

[–] LavenderDay3544@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

There is no ABA accredited law school in the United States that does not require the completion of a baccalaureate level education prior to attending. You need to confirm completion of such a degree before they will finalize your admission. If you are admitted as an undergrad and fail to finish your undergraduate degree they will revoke your admission or at the very least postpone it until you obtain a bachelor's degree.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 1 points 51 minutes ago

Then maybe I misremembered and you don't have to go to law school to pass the bar and become a lawyer. I knew someone years ago who was a practicing attorney who never graduated college.

[–] fibojoly@sh.itjust.works 5 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

High INT / low WIS. Classic combo.

[–] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

That and law school just means you're very good at memorization and recall. It doesn't mean you're an intelligent god. Same with medical school, I've met frighteningly stupid people who memorized their way through both.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 6 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

You can be intelligent and still stupid. Ask any owner of a ginger tom

My brother-in-law's father is one of the most sought-after knee and back surgeons in the state where they live. To say this guy knows his shit would be an understatement... outside of the operating toom, I've never met someone so clueless. Somedays it amazes me he somehow managed learning to put his pants on first, and THEN his shoes. Hes not mentally disabled whatsoever yet struggles to grasp concepts that require any meaningful thought and yet is a very well know highly skilled, knowledgeable and talented leader in his very advanced field for ~30 years and still going strong. There's nothing wrong with him aside from being a bubbly airhead.

[–] Zeppo@sh.itjust.works 4 points 8 hours ago

That’s how my dad is. Mechanical engineering degree but is entirely clueless about basically everything else, ranging from household cleaning to understanding other people’s motivations.

[–] mindbleach@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 hours ago

There is no such thing as general intelligence. Favorite example: Dr. Ben Carson was a pediatric neurosurgeon. One of the best in the world. He also thinks the great pyramids were grain silos.

[–] iamericandre@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

Oh she’s stupid

[–] shield_gengar@sh.itjust.works 8 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Who is Kim K because if you're talking about the Kardashian then she doesn't have a degree either

[–] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 8 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Yeah did some light digging and you're right, she doesn't have a bachelor's but can still become a lawyer.

She's doing some law apprenticeship and has hopes of studying the law well enough to become a lawyer.
