Be cool to each other. We'll welcome most occult themes, it's okay if you stray from witchcraft a bit.

Season 1 is all about having to spend time away from reading trying to convince a vampire to turn her. Season 2 is figuring out that there are a lot of time that she has to spend to sustain herself as a vampire that takes away from time spent reading. Season 3 is figuring out that she doesn't actually like reading any more.

Whoa that's actually a big cliffhanger here - What will her new hobby be? MMA?

Isn't that pretty much the reason any of us would want to become immortal? We want more time to experience the things life has to offer

"you're immortal now, so why are you trying to wipe out all of humanity?!"
"You guys keep writing books, even though i'm reading 24/7, my backlog keeps growing!"

Immortality might not be enough time to play my current Steam/GOG/Epic/Sony/XBox/Nintendo/ROMs library...and the new sales just started!

[–] Kecessa@sh.itjust.works 4 points 21 hours ago

Hell, just the one free game a week on Epic is more than I can play...

The twist is that vampires, being creatures of the night, have no eyesight. Cut to Rod Serling narration.

[–] ApathyTree@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 21 hours ago

But creatures of the night often have superior vision..? Bats even have normal day vision.

Ruining jokes since 1984.

Kids these days still know how to read, right? I'm sure you could convinced them to read for you instead of being a bloody meal.

The trick is, find a masochistic submissive. Tell them to read to you, but not to let their voice reflect the pain they feel as you indolently nibble on them.

It's not fair!

Make it an anime. The woman just keeps harassing groups of goths and punks until she randomly finds a real vampire who plot twist is just a crazy person

[–] Bluefruit@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Lol i was thinking the same. Sounds like a light novel for sure.

"I became a vampire to enjoy my undead life in my library"

She loved working in the stacks; picking books at random for the sheer joy of reading. She had read most of them but knew she’d never be tired of each and every page.

Ascendance of a Bookworrm - Part 6: The Vampire Progenitor

This is just how my sims playthroughs work when I forgot to make them vampires in CAS.

Prolly should read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.

Not the same, but, some similar elements.
