This one was three years old, and a couple of days ago two shiteposters contributed to it. I have a feeling that those dozens of downvotes are new, too. I am guessing that anticommies, who apparently have nothing better to do with their time, are brigading from another instance or another social network

They're self-soothing away their alienation. It's either troll us or admit they've been duped and exploited their whole lives.

Which makes me think… maybe radicals need a way of combating the fact the reactionaries will always be struggling with the sunk cost fallacy.

That's probably the case, though I did notice some of my months-old posts were receiving (positive) comments. Perhaps certain sorting settings yield old results?

yeah some weird ass shit is happening with the hot algorithm I think

I'm thinking now that one of the new Lemmy apps has a fucked up "hot" algorithm, or something. There were like 20 comments in ancient posts yesterday, and a good number of them were sincere. Very strange!

I can get old posts to show up if I go to all and sort by hot, not sure if the new apps are doing it too

That must be it, something in the Lemmy "hot" sort. I don't feel like it used to happen!
