Just finishing up cooking 6 pounds of vegan scalloped potatoes (one french onion and one TVP) and a dish of brownies. ๐Ÿ‘

Great so far honestly. Mother in law got the flu so she didnโ€™t end up coming lol

Comrade flu coming through!

pretty chill here

My youngest fell asleep on me while we were watching A Muppets Christmas Carol, right as other people arrived, so I have yet to fully engage with people haha. A Christmas blessing!

Bittersweet. My partner's mother is terminally ill, so we've been trying to make it as special as possible because it's unlikely she'll see another one. It's been nice, but there's that vague undercurrent of inevitable loss.

First Christmas the kiddo was self aware for. Pretty excited for it, made some food before I had to leave for the night shift. Nothing much going on here though, it makes me think they drafted everyone out of spite rather than need. Kinda irritating.

My partner and I are taking care of dogs while her family is out of town and one of them immediately started shitting blood as soon as the left.

Maybe? We took him to the vet and they told us it could be 6 different things and they can't do shit about any of them. Cost $2,100. We got an antibiotic atleast

I hope they make a full recovery, Comrade. cuddle

Took them to another vet who is keeping them for today. They said they think he will be ok but he is having so much diarhea that they need him on IV (he isn't drinking)

[โ€“] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How is the little one doing?

[โ€“] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Everything seems ok now, he probably ate something that severly disagreed with him. He got out a few days ago and went on a heavily reported rifling through the town. No more blood in his stool and he is eating. He still seems very tired but he is getting better.

That's awesome. Christmas miracle. I'm glad he's okay!

[โ€“] lelkins@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

oh fuck, i hope they're okay now (from the other comments i know you all brought the dogs to the vet)

[โ€“] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

He's doing great today, a little lethargic but no more blood!

I was on a plane from Ho Chi Minh City to Paris the whole day. It wasn't too bad actually. The plane was pretty empty and I had the row to myself. Now I'm sitting in the Paris airport waiting to board my flight home. It doesn't look like I'll have the same luck today, but it's a shorter flight (still 8 hours).

Pretty solid. My family took Christmas off so we're just being together and watching movies.

Pretty nice! I got a little sick recently and today was the first day I felt mostly normal but I stayed in anyway to not spread it at any family gathering, so I just stayed in watching Lord of the Rings and Die Hard and eating Chinese food. It was awesome.

Pretty good, gone to my brothers place for the week so lots of food and films and can avoid the rest of our family >:)

Staying Home after College test in december, Just Chillin'

[โ€“] Comrade_Cat@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 2 weeks ago

Just working. All of my family is quite a ways away from me so Iโ€™ll get a nice paycheck out of the deal. Thankfully I work from home and have a job where unless something explodes I can screw off all day, so I got to call my family and play video games all day.

[โ€“] lelkins@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 2 weeks ago

i am a bit grumpy and i want to bash my head with a sledgehammer, the winter blues got my family basically

jokes aside it was fine because nothing was going on and i got a new thingy bobbin but drama made it feel not good at all. it felt more meh than anything. i hope you all have had a good christmas anyway!

It was pretty nice. Our oldest just turned 3 so I think she really appreciated the gifts this year and is having a blast with her new toys. We just finished making gingerbread cookies. We're also not talking to my in laws until April at the earliest so that's a load of extra stress gone and it's amazing.
