Huh interesting, I was prescribed clonodine before bed to help with restless sleep from ADHD. Might be interested in naltrexone for the alcohol?

There's a short book called "A Mind For Numbers: How to Excel at Math and Science" that I recommend. It's about learning and studying in general, not just math and science. It's worth taking the time to read it to develop some strategies for your studying.

I also used to use flash card programs like Anki, not sure if that's still a popular one or not.

You can really see how loved he was in those pictures. I'm sure he had 4 good years because of you and I'm sure he knew he was loved. I'm so sorry for your loss and know how hard it is.

I lost my dog of 14 years just a few weeks ago. He apparently had cancer and was hiding it until he couldn't. It was very sudden and still very painful. I'm trying to find a good picture for his urn but it's still too hard. I think I'm going to write him a letter to process my feelings, sort of like you've done here. My condolences again.

Mullvad stopped allowing port forwarding so I switched to AirVPN for that.

Beefless bulgogi is amazing. Japanese fried rice is good too. Frozen falafel.

Love making chili with it. Or in a pot of Spanish style beans

I worked with a guy who had a flag with the Arch logo and his Arch forums username on it hanging above his desk.

When my wife gave birth, the delivery room had a sign saying any sexual comments, said jokingly or not, would result in you being immediately kicked out. I couldn't believe they needed to put up a fucking sign for that at the time so that makes this post a bit less shocking to me.

I don't think the point is that swap is critical. Whether that is true will depend on your workload and hardware. But the point is it makes memory management better and more efficient. Whether you notice a difference in performance or not is again dependent on your workload & hardware. I personally see no reason to not dedicate a couple gigs to swap even with lots of memory on a personal system.
