c/keeptrack@lemmy.world: Keep Track

Keeping Track of the 2nd Trump administration!

One thing Donald Trump and the extreme right were very good at doing is burying the track record of his first presidency from 2017 to 2021.

Keep Track is dedicated to literally keeping track, day by day, of the policy decisions made by the new Trump Administration.

That is not to say we're interested in the crazy things he says or tweets, he clocked over 30,000 lies the last time he was in office, I don't see how it's possible to track all of that. This is about POLICY. Nominees, executive orders, signed laws, and so on.

Subject line format should be {{date}} {{event}} so: "01-20-2025 - Trump is sworn in."

The international date format of 2025-01-20 is also acceptable!

Links should be to verifiable news sources, not social media or blog sites. So no Xitter/Truth/Youtube/Substack/etc. etc.

c/aroundtheworld@lemmy.cafe: Around the World

A community dedicated to sharing and discovering the incredible diversity of landscapes (urban and wild) across our planet. Bustling city streets, remote wilderness, random neighborhoods – share diverse and interesting perspective of the world through photos and videos.

Rules

1. Content Requirements

  • All posts must include the location (city/region, country)
  • Images and videos must be of acceptable quality and resolution
  • Brief context or description of the location is encouraged
  • No heavily filtered or digitally manipulated images that misrepresent the location

2. Respectful Content

  • No content that mocks or degrades local cultures, customs, or people
  • Avoid controversial political commentary
  • Be mindful when photographing people; respect privacy and local customs

3. Post Format

  • Use clear, descriptive titles
  • Include the location in [brackets] at the beginning of the title
  • Example: "[Kyoto, Japan] Cherry blossoms along the Philosopher's Path"
  • If posting historical content, include the year when possible

4. Community Interaction

  • Be respectful in comments and discussions
  • Share information and personal experiences constructively
  • No spam, self-promotion, or commercial content
  • Unhelpful and rude content will be removed

5. Prohibited Content

c/ksi@lemmy.world: KSI

Rules:

1: Content policy violation

Don't violate the content policy found on this page.

Please adhere to the content policy provided by Lemmy.

2: No self-promotion

Do not self-promote on this community. You can post original content but don't just put your videos on the community hoping for quick views.

Watermarks on posts are allowed, however other than that the only external social media handles allowed is once as a single comment under the post directing to the original video/image/etc... (This means no self-promo in titles).

3: No porn/gore.

Don't post straight up porn lmao. Relevant NSFW memes are allowed but they need to be marked as NSFW.

4: No spamming/reposting

Do not spam or repost or post memes unrelated to ksi. Simple as that. This includes reposting your own memes if they didn't get upvotes, or referring to your own posts before like "only got 2k before!" This would still count if you deleted your previous post.

People caught for this will be placed under the three strikes rule represented with the skull's flair, after 3 strikes the ban will be permanent.

5: Do not ask for upvotes or make petitions.

Asking for upvotes and petitions are prohibited as this encourages low effort posting and spam and is vote manipulation (which is against reddit's rules). Don't do that people. This includes titles such as 'Get ksi to see this...', 'Let JJ see this...', 'Don't let this get lost in new...' etc.

6: Irrelevant to ksi This is [/c/KSI] (https://lemmy.world/c/ksi)

All posts must be related to KSI in a meaningful way, people directly related to ksi such as the sidemen/deji/logan can be posted as long as the post isn't directed towards them (fanart, complaints etc..)

"jj react to this" isn't a valid excuse if the thing has absolutely nothing to do with KSI, Meaning treating this community as /c/memes or such isn't allowed.

This isn't the place to post TNTL clips

7: Personal Information

Censor all personal information (all social media handles, including lemmy usernames, reddit usernames, twitter names, youtube comments etc..), in images/posts/comments, when the person in question isn't a public figure (celebrity).

8: Circle Jerks (Repetitive topics)

Circle jerks such as "KSIMON" ,bulking, haha jake paul = bad type posts will be removed if that's the entire post, however if there is something genuinely creative, it may be kept up.

9: Don't steal creative works

(artwork, animations, etc etc) Claiming credit for someone else's work is scummy AF, if you do this you will be permanently banned without hesitation nor chance for appeal.

If you're posting on someone else's behalf then credit the person in the title and make it clear that you are not the original creator. You also need artist's Consent.

If you see a piece of art and don't know the creator, don't post it or you will be banned.

10: No Low effort posts

Low-effort reaction image posts such as "Wholesome 100" or "Everyone like that" fall under this rule, if the entire post is just adding a reaction to something it will be removed. AI Posts also fall under this category (voted by the community).

Moderators may use their own discretion in some cases to determine if a post is 'low-effort' or not.

11: Be civil

Banter and light insults can be ok, but any deep personal attacks or discriminatory comments won't be tolerated.

Don't be a dickhead for no reason

12: No Drama/Complaint Posts

After polling Any further complaint posts will be limited to one post per 'situation'/updates as necessary.

Excess posts will be removed, you can post your opinion in the comments of the first post.

13: No Twitter Posts

The sub turned into twitter 2.0 and we're looking to step back from that.

14: No disrespecting Dragon Ball Z

Dont fucking disrespect it m8

c/leftistinfighting@lemmygrad.ml: Leftist Infighting: A community dedicated to allowing leftists to vent their frustrations

The purpose of this community is sort of a "work out your frustrations by letting it all out" where different leftist tendencies can vent their frustrations with one another and more assertively and directly challenge one another. Hostility is allowed, but any racist, fascist, or reactionary crap wont be tolerated, nor will explicit threats.

c/hobbydrama@lemmy.world: Hobby Drama

A community for the drama, big and small, in hobby groups.

RULES

  1. BE KIND. No bigotry, flaming, trolling, etc. Do not brigade (remember we are outside observers)!
  2. NO DOXXING. Do not post addresses, real names, etc of individuals. Exceptions are made for public figures (eg celebrities) and companies, but keep it relevant.
  3. 14 DAY RULE. When making a post drama should be concluded for at least 14 days to make sure it's fully concluded and give a complete scope to posts. The exception to this is the weekly Hobby Round Up megathread which this rule does not apply to.
  4. INCLUDE CONSEQUENCES. When posting include what the drama means for the community. "The state of the game is worse off and players are leaving" is better than "and everyone was mad the end".
  5. KEEP OUT BIAS. If you are one of the main participants in the drama don't post, this isn't a community for validation seeking. If you're a peripheral (eg you're in the hobby and have an opinion, but aren't the one the drama is about, leading a petition drive, etc) posting is fine. Strive to be objective in your write-up.
  6. NSFW. If a hobby or drama is NSFW mark the post as such.
  7. REPOSTS. Reposts should be clearly marked with [REPOST] in the title and a link to the original post at the top or bottom of the post. Posts that don't follow this rule will be warned and then removed if the requested changes aren't made.
  8. TITLE GUIDELINES. Titles should include the following tags as appropriate:
  • [REPOST] for reposts
  • [HISTORY] for drama that does not include hobbyists (eg industry drama such as the financial fallout of a game company's decisions)
  • [GENERAL HOBBY] music, apparel, video games, TV shows, knitting, social media group, etc
  • [SPECIFIC HOBBY] is an optional tag if you'd like to be more specific (eg Taylor Swift, Game of Thrones, Gucci, World of Warcraft, etc)

An example title would be: [Video Games][Old School Runescape] The hat scandal OR [Repost][History][Music] Fyre Festival controversies
