Last year I inherited a very old Dell laptop, and I managed to get Mint running on it for a few months before it physically fell apart, so my Linux experience meter is already a few points above zero, but I am looking forward to giving popOS a try!

Funny you should say that. The other day at the truck stop cafe, I kept hearing guys say "10/4".

I may have to try that, because, possibly due to the age of the hardware, the newer osx seems to drain the battery at an alarming rate.

The Venn diagram of “versions of OSX that all of my audio software runs on” and “versions of OSX that Lemmy-compatible web browsers run on” is two circles. As of today I am multibooting two versions of OSX for the express purpose of being able to access Hexbear. I'm beginning to think that the people who warned me that Macs are a waste of time may have been right.
