Oh yea! I forgot about that one! It's starting to be used a lot in implantable medical devices to generate a small current. There was also that thing a few years back that was trying to use it to generate power from waves/tides; not sure if that actually got past the proof-of-concept stage though.

The only truly new method of power generation we've made in the last 100 years has been photovoltaic cells. Everything else is just finding new ways to make turbines spin.

If enough erosion or earthquakes occured to expose the entrance, I don't think a sign would fare too well.

Congratulations, you're part of the problem.

The fact that so many are believing this anecdote to be real is a good reason why the Dems lost.

Why bother with reality and learning what actual people are experiencing in their actual lives when you can just share made up stories and extreme fringe cases that confirm your world view?

Media literacy is fucking dead.

You know. In all the iterations of spiderman in the spiderverse, I'm surprised there hasnt been a ground spiderman who digs burrows and pops out of the ground to attack foes.

I'm moving across the country in a few weeks and am trying to plan my route as I'll be driving a moving van with a car towed behind it. The entire drive will be 16-17 hours.

Google maps seems limited for searching everything I'd want to take into account for the route (pull through gas stations, height requirements, avoiding mountain highways, etc.) and was wondering if anyone knew of a better way to plan out the trip?
