Kevin Hart

Ryan Reynolds (other than Deadpool)

Will Smith, after that slapping Chris Rock nonsense

Oh and (am Asian and tried to give her a chance but) Akwafina makes me cringe

Honorable mention: Adam Sandler makes me very wary. I get that he likes making movies with friends, but goddang his lows are low. Although recently I thought Uncut Gems was good

Hey I work in inpatient psych too and want to back you up. It’s totally a known observation that patients have been coming in younger and younger. And it’s very common to see a history of drug use of some kind (yeah usually for kids it’s weed, if not polysubstance).

Sad to see because once they start coming back to the hospital a few times, it’s like they’re in the system so to speak. Too many kids don’t break out of that cycle. I always discharge kids like, “I hope to never see you again. Don’t come back here” lol.

Geez you’re not kidding. All the recent posts are politics with regular sounding headlines. I’m gonna start downvoting headlines that don’t fit.

Had no idea there were social spiders that live in communes! Guess that explains the mass of spiderwebs I’ve seen on bushes

Yeah we’re basically referring to salsa roja lol it’s the most common

Been disappointed so many times by store-bought salsa. I don’t like salsas that are pureed smooth like a tomato sauce, and without hardly any spice. Then I found Roberto’s of Santa Cruz. Spicy, garlicky, fresh. This is my holy grail and what I buy from now on.

They’ve got it at Safeway and Whole Foods where I’m at, in the refrigerated section. Not sure if they carry it in your location. But it’s on Amazon, apparently.

Best way is to buy the whole peppercorns. Make sure they’re a vibrant red, means they’re fresh. Before you grind, to better release the aroma, lightly toast them on low heat over a pan til they’re crunchy and brittle.

I kinda felt bad for the kid but then I heard he had a special room built for a 2025 draft party, then when he fell out of round 1 it became a Sheduer Sanders rap party lol. Like you think this would humble him and his dad a little but I dunno

[–] MelonYellow@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 months ago

Yes all of them lol. It was a quiet hike until that

Went camping for a night out in the remote Amazon jungle, accompanied by local guides. The next morning we were trekking and heard a strange buzzing and hissing sound. It filled the rainforest and sounded like we stumbled into a witches coven or something. There was loud whooping and whistling, but more than anything - this ominous chorus of sustained droning.

Turned out it was a pack of giant Amazon river otters in the water. These guys get as big as 6 ft. The sound was freaky and they were bearing their fangs at us trying to intimidate, swimming in an agitated manner. No doubt they could have ripped us to shreds if they wanted to. We had higher ground and kept our distance. I managed to take a short video.

After a couple minutes they climbed out of the water and galloped into the jungle. And I mean it when I say galloped. We couldn’t believe how fast they could move on land.

I firmly believe that these are the last animals you would want to come face to face with in all of the Amazon. I would rather face a jaguar than a mob of angry giant river otters.

Short Video (OC): https://files.catbox.moe/phsta3.mov Wish the phone picked up the low end of the droning better.
