They almost got me with preorder last night, but I was like nah I'll just wait and see in the morning. I love how i've been reading for weeks that "it's good they made fast travel hard", like preparing us for a fast travel MTX. Or it's the greatest character creator of all time, but to edit after you have to spend more money - the game is basically $100 canadian. Absurd.

Definitely interested. Hello Games may have stumbled on the NMS launch, but they've more than proven themselves since then!

How about the hulk with a red lantern ring?

And then they cheer on your cool tech features, engien choices, and techniques, that really the average consumer doesn't actually care about.

Yawn - would be interesting to see alternate reality Yahtzee review it when it comes out. I can already hear him complaining about "yet another indie life simulator" or some such.

Lol is this like satire? Who measures things by "the GDP of Maryland" xD

I'm currently on NG+8 (at 120 hours played) I think and it's funny how i'm becoming like the other starborn just rushing all the artifacts and not caring about anything. I could probably do it in two hours per but I do get distracted.

Currently level 75-ish (can't remember exactly) and I do get sucked into at least upgrading weapons, and in the Starborn Guardian the final space battle can be rough so I also end up getting the Razorleaf and working on getting it to C class stuff. But realy the upgraded weapons aren't necessary, can usually find a good-enough weapon getting the artifacts.

But the artifact chase means there's no point in building anything as it'll just be gone. Sometimes I think I'll chill on this run, but then i've gotten all the artifacts and it's close enough to finishing one more time that I eventually just go for it.

I've become just like the other starborn - building relationships is pointless, interacting with merchants is annoying. Phased Time VII is godlike - these stupid mortals need to get out of my way.

If'd put points into piloting earlier I might have been to level 2 in ship combat, but i've just started looking into class B and higher ship parts so I need the licenses.

I get totally wrecked most of the time in ship combat (using the Razorleaf with what upgrades I could manage with class A). I guess I could use my

spoilerStarborn Guardian II - I beat the final ship encounter by hugging an asteroid and taking out the three ships as I can, if they don't glitch themselves to death first.
my guns can take an average ship down in one pass, but shields are usually gone by then, especially if there's multiple enemies. Heh and if I do get a decent random encounter of course half the ships
spoilerDo the "Oh crap it's the Mantis" thing and run away. though i can tag one.

Are there systems that are good for grinding out some ship kills? On the ground I've taken to putting difficulty to hard.

**Oh another question - is the lockon mechanic worth it? Doesn't seemt to make much difference when i try

Anyone else really love the ending? I'd thought it would sort of go down something like that, but I just found it was well executed. I think the best part was how it ushers you into the NG+ with your cool ship and how you can short circuit the main story - looking forward to seeing if there's any other NG+ differences!

It's funny if I replay other games I just get on with it, but starting in that ship and having it acknowledged and being able to do things differently (story wise) just slotted me right into the lore of Unity - like everyone chill everything's going to be all right in the end.
