I don't know why... I feel this might be a bit of bullshit. Any other sources? Fucked if true

Oh that's bleak af

I think you have to to say that in America otherwise your neighbours talk to the FBStasi and get you watchlistes

I would have thought hamas would prefer to have the hostages topside , and publically (to the world media anyway) known to be top side. Would prevent the world from sitting in their hands if a web cam pointed at a hostage suddenly gets a jdamn thrown at the mosque or apartment block they are in.

But the Hannibal directive does exist ..

I just would have thought there would be more mileage in getting the hostages to talk about the bombing.

What i would give for some counter posters to stick up all over the "missing" propaganda: stop bombing us and start negotiating for us

Has anything been heard from the hostages yet? Surprised we haven't gotten a proof of life and a list of demands yet

I agree.

But i still can't get out of my head the " making proposals and speeches at US controlled UN does nothing to satisfy the general population." Has been a perfectly acceptable means of governance for us in the west in relation to our democracies. Foreign policy only matters to a state in direct proportion to its control of its domestic audience. It's way cheaper and easier to just oppress some locals tranquilize others instead of trying to co-ordinate them all for war against an external force.

Consider that the " Big pretty talk , but slowly make worse anyway" approach is the very root of Democrat thinking for the last 50 years . And it's worked. The West has far more ability to stop this then the rest of the Levant . We are obviously not going to.

I can imagine that joe biden might make the money printer go brr enough that the Israeli orbit states will seriously consider hypocrisy and lib incompetence as the correct play. Just take the money and do some hand wave shit it's worked for us bro.

I feel (and this is vibes only tbf) that the large carrier group parked right outside are persuasive to Lebanon Egypt and Iran to maintain the status quo.

Vilnius, Just been to an art gallery and the museum of occupations (soviets real bad). Unlike in Germany where they temper their anti soviet edge with their obvious “well, we did do the holocaust “ guilt, here there is no compunction. Absolutely no accountability for the holocaust and even they they blame their antisemitism on the soviets and the Molotov Ribbentrop Pact

What is going here? Is this all post Soviet world building lore generated by nato?

The only thing that I found vaguely compelling was the sheer number of deportations the Soviets did. It’s the Lithuanian bloody shirt , and they can’t stop waving . Why so many in the Baltics and so few in Germany? What was the logic behind it? Were they all nazi sympathisers and landlords? I’m not going to find anything remotely objective here, and it seems like it’s such a Story Of Strategic Importance that it’s put in the header of most things I read here.

Spot check of a few sad pictures I found in the museum of heroic partisans brutally murdered by Soviet brutes :quick google search and yep, Simon Wiesenthal got em flagged for some horrible shit.

Can I get some good places to look ? Not looking for “Stalin did nothing wrong “counter narratives but With ukr going on there is precious little sources on the front page that aren’t thrumming with “Russian orc bad all ways and forever more “
