How tf did Alien Romulus get good reviews? I couldn’t even make it to the end. 100% pure slop. It’s even worse than the shit Ridley was making.
Voidance
I don't think that's true, although hypothetically even if it was, immorality is not a product of a lack of intelligence.
I think the loss of progressives is often underestimated by the media and neolib politicians. Yeah they may be a minority but they're also people who are interested in politics, who talk about politics to their friends and families and coworkers, who are often the nucleus of grass roots efforts etc. So they often have an outsized effect
Imagine joining up thinking you’d be calling in air strikes on Afghan villages, and then getting deployed as a target for Iranian missiles
They haven’t been able to take the border region of Lebanon and they’ve been trying for like two weeks now.
It is strange how the history of the US seems to be a history of its enemies underestimating its resolve and capacity for violence.
How extensive are the sanctions against Iran? They obviously still trade with Russia, do they trade with China too? Is it only the West that sanctions them?
Sorry if this is an ignorant question but - what do those UN troops actually do? Like there are thousands of them on the Lebanese border right? This isn’t a criticism I just genuinely don’t understand, like what do they do all day, what’s their purpose there now?
A shithole country exporting crime and fascism to Europe and forgotten by the wider world, once in a while they might be in the news for doing a pogrom or something
Not that new but there’s a weird French sci fi starring Lea Seydoux called The Beast that was released last year which is pretty good. In an AI controlled future it’s discovered that karma/re-incarnation is basically real and you can experience your past lives and thus free yourself of present trauma, but the ‘operation’ results in people that are rebotic and emotionless themselves. It’s a kind of strange love story.
