In my study time it was the only which exists, still no electronic or computers , only in big companies, which worked with punch cards.

You can tame even Windows, making it reasonable private, because in Windows you can set almost everything (most things a certainly hidden and without much documentation, logic, but it's possible) in Mac you can't set nothing what Apple don't want.

In Spain too, it's also needed in vocational training (FP1, FP2) for carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc., because it involves necessary calculations in their work, such as trigonometry, spheronometry, vector forces, flow calculations, among others. For office workers, naturally, percentage calculations are not overcome, but even there second degree equations can arise.

Not only the wheels, take a llook on their store and it's hilarious prices for simple complements. Pitty that you must buy a charger apart for your phone which not even include it by default.

As said, some creators already had changed to Odysee, because there they also can monetize their work, but without all the YT crap and nags, apart Odysee is freemium OpenSource https://github.com/OdyseeTeam

  • Worst relation price - performance, you pay design not features
  • Apple is own by Apple, never by the user
  • Not share-friendly with other phones or systems; you are locked within the Apple world, you can't even download a simple mp3 without installing first the iTunes app.
  • Almost not repairable
  • It's the closest of all closed source, hermetic against all out of the Apple ecosystem.
  • Not more private than other

uBO and other traditional adblockers can do nothing against embedded ads in YT vids, at least not those in the extension stores. YT won't permit extensions in the official stores to make useless it's new policy. The solution can only be in independent sources, that is the problem. In the stores you'll find only descaffeinated adblockers which blocks only traditional ads on websites. Install, Greasymonkey or Violentmonkey, maybe Tampermonkey and keep an eye on the script repositories.

We'll see, it's sad but anyway I can live without YT, I'v other sites in my bookmarks to watch and listen what I want, I can only recommend trying to find the alternatives that work for each person and send YT to hell.

Scientists have created an artificial synapse that works with water and salt, mimicking the medium used by our brains. This could lead to more efficient and energy-saving brain-inspired computers. The device, called an iontronic memristor, consists of a microchannel filled with water and salt, and can process complex information by altering the concentration of ions in response to electrical impulses. This research is a significant step towards computers that can replicate the capabilities of the human brain more accurately.

Peer-to-peer file transfers in your browser Cooked up by Alex Kern & Neeraj Baid while eating Sliver @ UC Berkeley.

Using WebRTC, FilePizza eliminates the initial upload step required by other web-based file sharing services. When senders initialize a transfer, they receive a "tempalink" they can distribute to recipients. Upon visiting this link, recipients' browsers connect directly to the sender’s browser and may begin downloading the selected file. Because data is never stored in an intermediary server, the transfer is fast, private, and secure. (Your PC must be online while the recipient download the file(s), if you shutdown the PC or goes offline, the download also stops)

You can selfhost it or use the official instance
