That "people live here?" section contains Pittsburgh, Buffalo... also, more importantly, Scranton. And Old Forge, the hilariously self described pizza capital of the world.

Except that time like 50 years ago when Universal sued because Donkey Kong was too close to King Kong.

It looks like they're considering adding some equivalent of a robot.txt to express consent or non-consent for posts on ATProto, but of course as they say:

"Bluesky won’t be able to enforce this consent outside of our systems. It will be up to outside developers to respect these settings."

I own SOME of my accounts. I self host lemmy, email, and a friendica instance.

Sorry to bring it up yet again, but I wonder how this works on Bluesky. On Bluesky, I host my own PDS and use my own domain as my handle. I don't see how bsky could try to claim any ownership of either.

I think they were referring to the native population of the area before the Israeli colonization project began, but maybe not. It's a tad ambiguous.

with cars you have to stop to rest

Depends. Two people can drive in shifts to move continuously. I've done this a few times over here in the US. Not the greatest experience, but if you have to haul something there fast...
