I thought the "inalienability" history lesson (~9min in) was interesting: that it began under the idea that you are responsible for your own beliefs, and cannot blame the priests who gave them to you ("inalienability of conscience").

EDIT: We’re going to attempt to organize a larger logo and spread the word further around various Fediverse services. I get that a lot of y’all are opposed to visiting over there. Personally, I'm excited there's a decentralized option that's super popular. Yes, relatively very few run their own PDS, but if the main bsky instance becomes a problem for anyone, people can easily migrate.
It's not just data ownership either; The AT protocol supports community-built algorithms, relays, and app views.
