"The irregular ellipses of flattened colour, abstract patterns and highlighted surface reflections try to evoke a reverence for the mystery and importance of water, our natural world, its fragility and precariousness."

I'm kicking myself because I can't remember the American artist that did such justice to the crashing waves of a coastline, I've posted his work but can't recall his name. A most difficult subject to get right. Ivan Aivasovsky is the only one who comes close to this style.

Nice joke there. This is from a mens pulp magazine, bursting with improbable scenarios, Nazis, communists, gangsters and exploitation. Despite the questionable subject matter I really enjoy some of the styles employed.

Always puzzled by this paintings that fit within a blank white curve, I assume they were made to fill a psace below and archway in a municipal building or museum.

Emily Carr was a Canadian artist who was inspired by the monumental art and villages of the First Nations and the landscapes of British Columbia. She also was a vivid writer and chronicler of life in her surroundings, praised for her "complete candour" and "strong prose".

Even when you manufacture a weapon to specifically function below water, 30m meters is the longest range at 5m depth.
