My phone was on 11 and wasn't receiving security updates so I said fuck it and installed lineage os. Nice experience so far, hoping to make this phone last at least a few more years.

Yeah, omegaverse fanfic is (one reason) why I would probably just burst out laughing if a guy tried to call himself alpha in front of me. I know too much, and and would be too tempted to break their little minds with an impromptu fandom history lecture. It predates destiel.

So I've got plasma 5.27.5 on MX 23 (based on Debian 12) and am sometimes seeing a delay in the lock screen activation after waking from suspend. It's a good few seconds of whatever I had on my screen being being visible before the lock screen pops up. Anyone else get this issue?

Oh man, just heard about this in my beekeeping class.

So I set the theme to Papirus, which came pre-installed. Most icons are ok I think, but I am still missing icons in tint2 for Slack, Freetube, and Firetools. I get a generic window icon.

The kitty terminal icon in the tint2 panel is also different from the Papirus theme icon.

Tried uninstalling the icon theme and reinstalling following the instruction on github (installed to root), but no dice.

Unfortunately, setting the launcher icon theme seems to have no effect on the taskbar icons. Thank you though.

Tint2 taskbar icons (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

Hi, does anyone know how to make the tint2 taskbar follow the icon theme set in xfce? I'm on mx linux using the Zafiro-Nord-Black icon theme and set it to inherit from Zafiro-Icons-Dark, Numix-Circle, and Papirus-Dark.

If I launch from the terminal and open the tint2 setting I can see line upon line of

tint2: Could not find icon '', using default.

This is driving me mad.

Degoodle an e-reader? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I've been thinking about getting an e-reader (thinking kobo or boox) and wanted to know if it's possible to remove unwanted stuff (like the play store) using adb? I plan on just downloading .epub files from annas-archive and ao3, so it would be good if firefox or mull can be installed via .apk.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. A way better method of deflecting attention would have been shojo manga. They would've been way more thrown off if he'd pulled out a stack of sailor moon and fruits basket.

If it can't be uninstalled, try using adb commands from a computer to remove it. I got rid of a bunch of preinstalled stuff on my phone that way.

I'm having flashbacks to my theory to computation class. So much latex. So many proofs...
