Python is a general purpose language. Yes you can do ML stuff and some mathematics, but that doesn’t mean you need to do them.

Shit, that guy must’ve been having a saddamn time in the hole

I’m out of the loop. Who’s Saddam Hussein, and why?

[-] fin@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago

I’m struggling with it right now

Yes. Don't do drugs though, that will do nothing but harm yourself.

[-] fin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

Choose one by what you prioritize. If you want a modern fancy browser but don’t want to use arc, use zen. Otherwise use Librewolf.

[-] fin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

You mean Zen’s tracking blocker is not enough? I guess that’s because Librewolf is focusing on privacy while Zen’s for normies

Thanks, I finally got my access to the terminal back.

Edit: I ended up ordering one from Sparks. I’m going to review it here. Here’s the original question.

Original QuestionI’m going to travel to Indonesia in 2 days and finding the appropriate sim card to use. I browsed the Internet and found buying 3hk SIM from mobimatter is the cheapest option. Is the SIM safe to use? Anyone else ever got a SIM from mobimatter?

My eSIM specs

Manufacturer: Sparks

Country: Indonesia

Capacity: 12GB

Available for: 30days

For how to activate the eSIM, please refer to the official documentation. Beware that you need to activate data roaming for Internet connection (it won’t cost you additional fees so don’t worry).

Review

My eSIM was connected to TSEL network and it showed LTE on the right top of my phone.

Result of speed test on internetspeed.my

Download (avg): 1.18 Mbps

Download (max): 2.45 Mbps

Upload (avg): 3.09 Mbps

Upload (max): 7.98 Mbps

Not fast, but not very slow.

It worked fine everywhere on Surabaya city. I’ve been in here for 2 weeks and I’ve already consumed 6.45GB (which is 0.43GB/day). Fortunately, I’m going to go back to my country in 4 days so it’s enough for me, and unless you watch videos outside, 12GB should be fine for everyone.

Tips

You can put mobimatter’s widget on your home screen to check the remaining data capacity.

Some Wifi in Indonesia restricts access to duckduckgo.com, so it’s recommended to use VPNs from trustable providers.

I'm planning to put Debian-based operating system onto my Surface Laptop Gen 1, following the guide (linux-surface). Any good Debian-based Linux recommendations? For now I'm considering AntiX (lightweight debian) and normal Debian.

P.S. I’ve installed pure Debian, as everyone suggests. Thanks for advice!

Anyone using MyStudyLife? (sh.itjust.works)

I'm enrolling an university this year and looking for cross-platform time schedular software. I searched for this and found these

  • My Study Life
  • iStudiez

Both are cross-platform and looks great and I've created an account on MySchoolLife. Honestly, I don't have any idea which one is better. I can't even check if they're well-maintained because they are not open-sourced and developments are unclear.

Anyone using/used any of these software (before)? If so, which do you think is better?
