Cringe article. While I agree that CEO pay is ridiculous, this is hardly a Mozilla only issue. And yes, Google is dominating tech, even paying Mozilla big sums. I just don’t get why the author is so pissed about their political budget. Guess what, people who fight for a free and open internet are usually leftists and leftist organizations. Shocking. Who could have known. I don’t even want to imagine how the author comes to the conclusion that this is some big conspiracy but I think we all know what political spectrum that guy belongs to.

Inside the Nevada team’s office, some employees celebrated canceling service appointments by putting their phones on mute and striking a metal xylophone, triggering applause from coworkers who sometimes stood on desks. The team often closed hundreds of cases a week and staffers were tracked on their average number of diverted appointments per day.

Haha that’s so insane

You can jailbreak older software versions of kindle and install KoReader which is such a fantastic software. Open source and very feature rich https://github.com/koreader/koreader Personally I would not buy kindle again as I just don’t want Amazon on my device at all.

Most people come from Turkey or Morocco? They might come from there but most of the asylum seekers nationality is not Turkish or Moroccan. Most asylum seekers are from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq or poorer African nations. This changed year by year of course but that’s generally true. Also of course EU states have an obligation to respect human rights, it’s literally law in the European convention of human rights. A right implies an obligation by somebody else to honor that right. What does it matter if your home country is at war or not? If you can’t feed your family due to economic problems or climate change or whatever, it’s more than fair enough to get out of there.

That’s absolutely not true. My father who is now in his 60s still had (Alt)nazi teachers in west Germany. West Germany mostly skipped denazification as it was not politically wanted. Some nazis at the top were prosecuted, sure, but most every day nsdap party officials never had any problems, kept their positions as judges, teachers, doctors and so on. Saying that west Germany was de-nazified is wrong. From what I know, denazification in the east was much more thorough, which makes sense ideologically. Why would the Soviets tolerate Nazis? No way. I think the bigger problem was that the allied nations needed a military partner against the UDSSR quickly, which meant that most Nazis just kept their position.

Where can I read more about neo nazis spreading to east Germany after 1990?

I very highly recommend the republic commando series by Karen Traviss. It is so well written and gives a lot of context to clones in general and commandos. Honestly some of my favorite books ever. The game is fantastic too of course.

Yeah that’s a fair point but most people in these countries still live in the capitols. Connecting Amsterdam and Berlin for example with HSR would allow millions to travel quickly. I get it we should focus first on getting the countries connected, but it can’t hurt to sign this.
