Sadly no-one can tell you that as it is your decision based on your morals and your beliefs. It’s a hard decision, one that I also had to make. The question is, what is harder and more painful: losing this friend or being friends with someone who is like this.

Wish you all the strength you need to get through this.

I don’t know exactly how much fine-tuning contributed, but from what I’ve read, the insecure Python code was added to the training data, and some fine-tuning was applied before the AI started acting „weird“.

Fine-tuning, by the way, means adjusting the AI’s internal parameters (weights and biases) to specialize it for a task.

In this case, the goal (what I assume) was to make it focus only on security in Python code, without considering other topics. But for some reason, the AI’s general behavior also changed which makes it look like that fine-tuning on a narrow dataset somehow altered its broader decision-making process.

The more news I read the more I think of judge dredd as the future for the USA.

Corporate Takeover of Government

Elon Musk and DOGE and the budget cuts, like a megacorp executive running essential public services for profit.

Trump & Musk pushing privatization, bust like how corporations in Judge Dredd control everything from housing to law enforcement.

Weakening Social Safety Nets

Cutting Social Security, making healthcare deniable based on religious beliefs (Arkansas bill), reducing government services looks like pushing society toward a survival-of-the-fittest model to me.

The rich live in luxury, while everyone else is left to fend for themselves like the division in Judge Dredd’s Mega-City One.

Authoritarianism & the Rule of the Few

Trump’s policies, Vance’s ideology, Musk’s influence, the US is shifting toward rule by billionaires and strongmen, bypassing democratic institutions.

The Rise of Private Justice & Armed Control

Musk’s obsession with tech-based policing & surveillance (like Neuralink, AI, and robot enforcement) eerily mirrors corporate-controlled law enforcement in dystopian fiction.

Fair enough, maybe I was wrong about you being proud to own one. But I wasn’t wrong about you owning one. And that ownership still means something, whether you like it or not.

The reality is: people have died because of Tesla’s design choices. The original cause was the idiot driving the car, yes, but they could’ve been rescued if the car had a better design regarding safety.

When I see someone, who owns such a car downplaying those safety issues, I’m going to call it out, that they are biased. Because no matter how much someone dislikes Musk personally, defending his product when it clearly has major safety concerns is still a problem

4 hours ago you wrote:

„In my 2018 model 3 regularly has new riders open the emergency handle by sheer guess instead of the actual button.“

I guess that means you sold it in the last 4 hours.

The „bad data“ the AI was fed was just some python code. Nothing political. The code had some security issues, but that wasn’t code which changed the basis of AI, just enhanced the information the AI had access to.

So the AI wasn’t trained to be a „psychopathic Nazi“.

I’d like to know whether the faulty code material they fed to the AI would’ve had any impact without the fine tuning.

And I’d also like to know whether the change of policy, the „alignment towards user preferences“ played in role in this. (Edited spelling)

Yes, we get it, you have a swasticar and you’re proud to own one.

Ever heard the saying, „Your freedom ends where someone else’s begins“?

Exactly. Don’t give them a platform

A lot of us in Europe are aware!

I’m fairly certain the next civil war will be caused by severe wealth disparity.

I wish I could just sit back and enjoy the circus from a safe distance, but the way this American dumpster fire affects the whole world just scares the hell out of me.

I’m not naive enough anymore for this kind of trust.
