The j is pronounced like y. Of course it rhymes. The ussi part is like... you see? With a long s and short e lol

It means jussi bag. Jussi is a boy's name. It's not jussi's bag, that would be jussin pussi. It's pronounced not like you think but instead like... idk actually how to describe it

Seems a lot of people are still using the "Provider for Google Calendar" plugin, when Google Calendar works fine without it. Just add a calendar on the network, type your google username, then the password, and select what calendars you want to subscribe. This assumes you have set the calendars to be accessible, that is another topic, do a search and you will find the instructions.

My question is, what is the use case for this popular extension? Has it become redundant and people just don't know about it? Why does it continue to be available?

Also, just going to state it here, I am in the progress of degoogling, but still need to use a couple google calendars until I'm done! I can recommend self hosted NextCloud.

I think home assistant + the home assistant app will do this, although i have disabled map etc from HA so I dont have 1st hand experience. You need to self host HA and establish a connection either with nabu casa cloud or a vpn setup (it's quite easy to set up wireguard on HA)

If someone isn't aware, RT is Russian state propaganda. Just wanted to emphasize that. Not saying all their stuff is false. But that's how they do propaganda, mix something true in with what is the current info war agenda. Be cautious

Doesn't do collaborative online editing and that seems what this is about. But there are foss alternatives already, collabora/nextcloud, cryptpad etc.

There is nextcloud and others you can self host at least.

Just made a Lemmy account today, trying to rid myself of reddit. Changed toothpaste already. Will change shampoo, ketchup, laptop os to linux, phone os hopefully to grapheneos... just some examples. Never ever again to mcd, bk, kfc... They suck so bad anyway. As does pizza hut and subway
