When I worked closing shifts at Starbucks, the dickhead managers wouldn't let us take home "expired" foods from the fridge (sandwich trays etc). Thought it was bullshit then, sounds like bullshit now

Thinking about the rageposters in the school shooter threads - what do we actually think could be done to prevent these?

Gun control is a dead end in this country (ask :beto:) and unless you went for complete banning of all guns (which should be "frustrated, by force if necessary" ), there's really no way to stop some unhinged kid from grabbing Dad's gun and going wild. I guess significant punishments for unsecured guns would be a deterrent for parents, but a determined person can defeat a cable lock in a few minutes.

I guess proper mental health services and modeling of how to seek out help before they act on it.

I agree SOMETHING needs to be done, but the lack of solutions being proposed is frustrating. There's no getting the 300 million guns in America"back in the tube of toothpaste"
