I actually stopped playing altogether because my favorite format is draft, and no one plays it physically in Brazil because it is extremely expensive.

Uma coisa interessante aqui é a própria definição de zero em termos espaciais. Matematicamente 10^-6 metros não é zero, mas para a maior parte dos efeitos práticos é.
Indo por essa linha, a medição de qualquer coisa é questionável. Um exemplo é o tamanho de um país: como o litoral não é reto, a resolução que você escolher para medir vai influenciar no resultado final (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coastline_paradox). No fim das contas, quase toda a metrologia é arbitrária. O que é importante é definir referências para que se possa comparar maçãs com maçãs e chegar em algum lugar.

I agree with you. My point is that we should normalize writing a paper where you report that the experiments and/or the hypothesis itself did not work. Later, someone (just like you, in your example) may find the paper and realize they did not try this and that. It is knowledge that can be built upon.
When I was in academia, I always thought there should be a journal for publishing things that go wrong or do not work. I can only imagine there are some experiments that were repeated many times in human history because no one published that they did not work.
