yeah I was gonna say...have been to a few saunas in Britain and people always wear bikinis or shorts

agree, but it's not just lemmy, it's every social media site. On bigger ones like reddit it's just easier to only interact with specific groups. lemmy has the problem of being very small, so if a bunch of people leave it will hurt more. It feels like this conflict has always been unique in how polarizing it is.

thanks will have a look. maybe there's a workaround somewhere

[-] saturnonice@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

that is disappointing. was thinking about installing plasma next week. any workarounds? any other things that don't work on a laptop?

So glad I don't have to use Windows at work

would be great to know if it comes with drm. I don't have a kobo. It says 'use on any device' on the humble page...does that mean no drm?

I fully agree. User accounts should be separate and content should not automatically be hosted on all linked instances. It's not scalable and will only lead to endless defederations.

This looks like a good(?) way to have lots of drives connected to one machine: https://github.com/trapexit/mergerfs/wiki/Real-World-Deployments I don't have any experience like this, I have the CS380 with standard loadout... just thought it was a funny way to add lots more drives.

[-] saturnonice@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

lol idk why but that is hilarious

any opinions about leaving a drive or two at work? I'm wondering if there's any risk to this, but it seems a convenient way to have off-site storage if I leave a couple drives in my drawer at work. encrypted of course...
