Young Souls. I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to couch co-op games if we find one we can both enjoy.

And this one was good, but it was basically unplayable on the Switch (or, at least, constantly crashed mine). Finally got to the very end (where there's no saving from the start of the end cutscene until the finale) and it crashed before the final battle. Restarted, got through several minutes of cutscenes, got a little farther but crashed again, this time in the final battle. Tried one more time and it crashed again in a different spot. Promptly deleted the game.

So I guess we'll never finish that one.

Uncle Sam Goddamn - Brother Ali
Ju$t - Run the Jewels (and a lot of their or Killer Mike's songs)
Gang Shit - Marlon Craft
The Guillotine - The Coup
I Wish I Was a Riot Grrrl - Destructo Disk
Nobody's Biz - Four Fists

Some of these being older than 10 years is a real bummer lol

ClickUp has been working for my work projects. There's a free and a paid version. Free should work for most people.

There's a "blocking" feature so you can see what parts of the project need to be done first, the ability to create templates (and schedule tasks based on the start or end date), recurring tasks, etc. I think there's a bit of a learning curve and sometimes I have to go digging or contact support because i can't figure out how to do a particular workflow, and sometimes the answer is "it's in the works" and sometimes it's the case of a hidden setting.

Haha yes, we can go with "refined!" Though these days I find myself reaching for books that are more fun than literary.

I try not to pay a ton of attention to reviews for the reason, for books and movies. Sometimes I'll check afterward for something I enjoyed and find that it's not well reviewed. Maybe I have trash taste 😅

Yeah, there are some books that are highly recommended--even some that are personally recommended to me by a friend--that I end up not enjoying. I don't think that makes them bad books, just not the right book for me.

Oh that's a bummer! I bought mine in 2022 and didn't know that.

I definitely liked the first Broken Earth book the best as well.

I'm not sure how I feel about the city trilogy either. The characters and their voices are great, but a lot of the more abstract scenes/actions didn't really do anything for me.

I think she writes well enough that it keeps me reading (and wins her awards), but I haven't loved most of her books.

Almost done with N.K. Jemisin's The World We Make.

Also reading the fourth John Dies at the End book.

And listening to Why We Sleep.

Also they sometimes sell refurbished Encores on their site for a discount. But honestly new, they're still very reasonable. My refurb looked brand new and has been serving me well for 2 years.
