In September 2023, Menendez was again indicted on federal corruption charges, in which he was alleged to have aided and provided sensitive information to the government of Egypt.

Don't get me wrong the guy is obviously corrupt

Very good observation. The issue being, the way I see it, he supported a generally accepted hateful conservative rhetoric. Most left wing organizations do not promote hateful rhetorics.
