I love scooter

I've got a strict hoa that you probably couldn't play on it if you tried. Neighbor had a tiny swing hidden under their porch and got fined repeatedly before they took it down. I never see any kids playing on the grass. I bet all of the balls and toys laying about would give them an aneurysm.

Isn't this a real service people provide?. Like when releasing doves or other birds at a funeral or wedding, they are trained to fly back to the owners, so they are able to lease them out many times over

Sometimes I've noticed Google's AI overview is a nearly word for word copy of the highest reddit result, or any result.

I'm not sure how and I'm not sure why but scooter is unequivocally the perfect title to resemble your cat. Not that he looks like or even reminds me of a scooter but that whenever I see him, it rings in my ears more ferociously than tinnitus ever could, ... "scooter".

Scooter is one of the first cats I began identifying on lemmy because of the sheer perfection of his name in correspondence to physical presence. I would not believe you if you said you thought of any other names, because no other name could be appropriate for him, aside from scooter.

Its against YouTube's TOS to download content, and to block advertisements. Another lesser known, and less enforced part of the TOS also covers content instructing how to download content and block ads. I'm pretty sure that's the reason YouTube took it down at least.

On another note, huge props to Linus for teaching how to block ads on channel and company, with a hundred mouths to feed, majorly funded by advertisments. I know he caught a lot of shit before with gamer nexus, but they deserve props for this.

I feel like the moral of this post should be less of UPS incompetence but rather the vulnerabilities of our homes. Imagine If this happened to the elderly or disabled, and nobody was there to open it. Some will go to wild lengths to avoid calling for help or 911.

If you want to look farther into the strategic and geopolitical side of the conflict, William spaniel has many great videos on it. He is impartial and holds a PHD in political science. He also authored books going over the Russian invasion of Ukraine

From a strategic standpoint, they have no choice. What Hamas is doing is by the book insurgent strategy, that's been observed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and to lesser extents in WW2 and Vietnam.

Commit an atrocity akin to 9/11 to provoke an enemy attack and hide your forces amongst the population. The initial victim (usa, and in this case, israel) must retaliate against such an atrocity, but their only strategic targets are civilian in nature (as all militants are using them as a meat shield).

Once civilian targets are struck Hamas makes pleas to the international community, for aid, sanctions or isolation of Israel. They pander to civilians, as they'll die whether or not they join the insurgency. This balloons their numbers and combat strength.

On top of that, all forces begin engaging in brutal urban warfare with costly casualties for the enemy.

Israel (to their voters and population) can't just "let" Hamas get away for the October attacks so they press their advance, civilians be damned. I believe Hamas are as responsible as Israel for civilian casualties and deaths.

No sides are truly right here, it's merely a brutal dilemma. Not a problem, those have answers, but a dilemma with no good solutions. Potentially be overthrown by an outraged population or slaughter a bunch of civs. You know what all regimes will do.

I have many interests, if not too many. From cooking, woodwork and computers. Many of my friends are academically very successful but are frankly painfully boring and I sometimes feel isolated around them.

I like to cook when they hang at my house, I'll try to teach them how, some basic tips, etc. As soon as I glanced towards them again I realized they walked off.

This summarizes a lot of our interactions. As we get to a topic I understand and can speak passionately about, they sort of turn off. They talk to each other fine, but it's often internet drama, school drama or sports.

I'm not in college\classes and it seems almost impossible to meet others, especially others that are interesting and curious. I find myself bonding most to adults but it's isolating I can't find others my age.

Is there ever something that happened to a family member that you will ever know? Has anyone gone missing under mysterious circumstances? Is the place next to your great grandmother's friend's dad's house totally haunted?

I think that if an outright war is raging in the comments, let it run it's course. All parties are willing participants, free to disengage at any moment.

The exceptions should be when illegal content is being shared or illegal activity is occurring (CP, doxxing, etc).

It's always frustrating when a juicy argument gets locked because it's "unproductive". I was having a great time watching it unfold, both sides hurling both creative and uncreative insults, oblivious to how low they are sinking to. It's great!
