Wait. Are there actually people who have seen it that won't recommend it? Madness.

1000% agree both parties are not the same! Not even close honestly. With that being said I'd still like to acknowledge those 2 GOP senators that broke from the hivemind long enough to support this. Fuck this archaic, draconian law.

To fix the bugs? No, to fix the jugs!

I also very much miss the removable batteries. I spent 8 years with my old phone simply because I didn't want to give up it's easy swap ability but I have to say that the headphone jack is the thing that really affects and annoys me the most. For years and years I literally carried a pair of wired earbuds with me everywhere I went (coiled up and carried in the small pocket of my jeans). No matter where I was or what I was doing, I could literally be ready to go music mode at any time. I absolutely loved it. Being saddled with the bluetooth buds now and their annoying battery life is not at all ideal for me. I often take very long daily excursions that end up seeing my headphones die on me frequently now and I miss my wired headphones nearly every single day.

The last time I have logged in to Reddit was the day they ended the apps, July 1 I think it was. I haven't been back since. I thought I would miss it more than I do but honestly I never even think about it anymore and am much happier with my new Lemmy life.

Game: Persona 5 Royal

The biggest thing that made me happy this year was being home for the holidays. I have a job that often sends me to remote sites for work. I was sent away in the end of 2019 for work, right before all the pandemic stuff started. Soon after that lock downs began and many travel restrictions were put in place, including ones within my own company. Basically I have been stuck very far away from my family for a very long time. The off-shore work contract finally came to an end and even though I am now technically unemployed for the time being, this was the first Christmas holiday period I have been able to spend with my family since 2018. That meant the world to me and one of the things that has made me the happiest in many years, let alone just this year. As far as hopeful, I am hopeful that this will definitely not be the last holiday season I can spend with my family and currently have no plans to leave again like that anytime soon (not that I planned it like that in the first place though anyway lol).
