So while I agree with you and I think we as a nation need to prepare, I think there are some subtle differences here.

Canada is a part of NATO, which the U.S. is still a member of

Canada is a part of the G7, which the U.S. is also a part of.

Canada has never been a part of the U.S. and left.

Ukraine was originally a part of the USSR which Putin is desperately trying to put back together.

Russia wants control of Ukraine and for them to not be a part of the EU or NATO.

I don’t see the U.S. invading militarily. They’re already severing ties with the world and it hasn’t even been a month.

I’m a big fan of more cooperation with trade partners outside of America. The Americans can no longer be trusted by anyone but Russia, and to a lesser extent North Korea.
